At 800 Meta UAE, we prioritize the comfort and safety of our customers by ensuring their vehicles are in top condition. Recently, we completed a heater core replacement for an Audi TT, and during our inspection, we identified several related issues that required our attention. Here’s a summary of our findings and the effective solutions we implemented.
Issues Identified:
Leaking Heater Core
Description: The heater core was found to have a significant leak, leading to coolant loss and reduced heating efficiency in the cabin.
Solution: We replaced the faulty heater core with a high-quality OEM part, ensuring proper heating performance and preventing further coolant loss.
Coolant Contamination
Description: The coolant was contaminated due to debris and rust, which can affect the heating system’s efficiency and longevity.
Solution: We performed a complete coolant flush and refill, using fresh coolant to restore optimal performance and protect the entire cooling system.
Clogged Heater Hoses
Description: The hoses connected to the heater core were clogged, restricting coolant flow and diminishing heating capacity.
Solution: We inspected and replaced the clogged hoses, ensuring unrestricted coolant flow for effective cabin heating.
Thermostat Malfunction
Description: The thermostat was not functioning correctly, which could impact the overall temperature regulation of the engine and heating system.
Solution: We replaced the malfunctioning thermostat, ensuring optimal temperature control and improved heating efficiency.
Air Pocket in Cooling System
Description: We found an air pocket in the cooling system, which can hinder proper circulation and heating.
Solution: We bled the cooling system to remove any air pockets, ensuring efficient coolant flow and optimal performance of the heating system.
