Issues Identified: 

1. Gear Slippage and Hesitation

2. Transmission Fluid Leak
   • Issue: Another issue identified was a transmission fluid leak. Transmission fluid is essential for maintaining hydraulic pressure and cooling the transmission components. A leak can result in low fluid levels, leading to overheating and potential damage to the transmission.
   • Solution: We traced the source of the leak to a worn transmission seal. After removing the affected parts, we replaced the seals with high-quality OEM replacements. We then refilled the transmission with the manufacturer-recommended fluid and performed a leak test to ensure the system was fully sealed and operational.
3. Overheating Transmission
   • Issue: The Lamborghini Reventón is known for its high performance, and with that comes the potential for the transmission to overheat under heavy use. The vehicle was experiencing issues with shifting when the transmission reached high temperatures, which is common when the cooling system for the transmission is compromised.
   • Solution: We inspected the transmission cooler and found it to be clogged with debris, reducing its efficiency. We thoroughly cleaned the cooler, flushed the transmission system, and replaced the transmission fluid with the proper type and quantity. Afterward, we ran the vehicle through rigorous testing to ensure that the transmission remained at an optimal temperature during performance driving.
4. Clutch Pack Wear
   • Issue: Another common issue in a dual-clutch transmission (DCT) system like that of the Lamborghini Reventón is clutch pack wear, which can lead to inconsistent power delivery and shifting problems.
   • Solution: We carefully disassembled the transmission to inspect the clutch packs and found that they had worn down due to prolonged use. We replaced the damaged clutch packs with OEM-quality parts and ensured that all friction surfaces were properly lubricated. After the replacement, we recalibrated the clutch system for smooth engagement.
5. Transmission Warning Light
   • Issue: The owner reported that the transmission warning light had illuminated on the dashboard. This could signal a number of issues, ranging from electrical faults to low fluid levels, but in this case, it was caused by an electrical fault in the transmission control unit (TCU).
   • Solution: We ran a complete diagnostic scan and identified that the transmission control unit (TCU) was not communicating properly with the car’s ECU. After replacing the faulty TCU, we reprogrammed the system and cleared the error codes. A final road test confirmed that the warning light was no longer illuminated, and the transmission functioned as it should.
